Clearly - without a question - Canals is the overwhelming best store for selection and price. It isn't even close and anyone saying anything different should give a name of one that is. For example - if a "normal" good store has say 5-10 types of a wine (a few in each price range) - here there are LITERALLY 150 or so. Then look at liquor - for example I recently needed a "good" bottle of scotch (preferably Johnnie Walker) - they had 5 different - in prices up to $200+. Most other stores have the standard and maybe one special, with the special being a grade lower than here for the grade higher price. Generally, Canal (any place I've had them) price points are 20% better across the board. Yes, the crew running the place is basic retail help friendly but always busy with stocking or ringing and not claiming to be experts on the HUGE selection they sell..
Store is never open the hours they are supposed to be. And who closes on Memorial Day and posts no sign? Just walk up like an idiot and try to see if the doors open I guess. The location is conveinet but they should really consider competent management who practices proper business etiquette.
Horrible selection and even more horrible staff. The staff and management were especially rude. If I could I wouldn't give this place any stars at all. I will never shop here again. There are far better liquor stores out there. I highly suggest you shop at a different one.
Best selection in the area. Very nice and helpful staff. Convenient to my other shopping a well!
Wouldn't be so bad if the employees weren't terrible. Go somewhere else. Simply for the service.
