Good food, just a little pricey.
I love how the staff seems to cater to you! There is no funky attitudes coming from the diva-like girls or the sexy men... Just smiles and service that is on-point. There's one dude who could smile but he's moving fast behind that buffet so maybe that's why he doesn't.. Anyway THE FOOD IS BANANAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT TASTING EVERYTHING INCLUDING THE YAMS - which can be hit or miss with soul-food spots.
I got food poisoning from this place. It was my first, and last, time ever eating here. I bought the jerk chicken off a buffet-style setup they had out front. Big mistake. I was diagnosed with having Campylobacter Jejuni, a bacteria found in animal feces most commonly associated with poultry. It was by far the worst illness I've ever dealt with- eventually sending me to the ER and knocking me out of work for 5 days. Either their food was contaminated (IE: butchered, cleaned, or cooked improperly), or the cooks don't practice good hygiene while handling food.
